Nick Jr, Australia’s premiere pre-school channel, approached The DMCI to create their latest idents. The brief was to create an impactful, visually inventive campaign which conveyed the trust, love and educational credentials of the channel whilst maintaining the warmth and playfulness that is characteristic of Nick Jr. The IDs take the everyday actions and activities of young kids and place them in an evolving Nick Jr world. Referencing the channel package we created additional characters and elements to create a wonderfully vivid and fun world, where children play and interact with their favourite Nick Jr characters such as Dora and Diego, Bubble Guppies, Backyardigans and Wonder Pets, amongst others. Following a particularly fun shoot with the children, a core edit was created and thus began the creation of the Nick Jr world, a combination of 2D and 3D animation evolving around the live action of the children. The result, a celebration of childhood fun and fantasy that will get the kids singing and dancing along with their favourite Nick Jr characters.
