Should I size up or down for Glerups?
Glerups slippers are true to size but due to the low heel cap, the slip-on model should be snug so it doesn’t flap. If you are in between two sizes, we recommend going for the smaller size for the slip-on model.
How long should Glerups last?
The Glerups seem built to last. These slippers have a one-year warranty, and they come with simple care instructions to prolong the life of the wool (wool is self-cleaning, so it shouldn’t get too gross over time). And these shoes are made with care.
Do Glerups mold to your feet?
That’s partly because Glerups mold to your feet as they “age.” The interior of the shoe naturally sheds fabric until it’s found the preferred shape of your arch and heel.
Can you put Glerups in the washing machine?
Glerups are made of 100% pure wool and wool is self-cleaning. However, if periodic cleaning is required, your Glerups can be washed in the washing machine on the “wool”, “hand wash” or “delicate” program (max 30 degrees Celsius). It helps to vacuum your shoes clean of dust before washing.
Are Glerups itchy?
The material is not itchy (at all) although you would think it would be given that they are made of 100% wool, but they are actually very very soft! So all you preconceived notions of your dads old wool socks throw them out the window because these slippers are nothing like those!
Can you shrink Glerups?
Wool is Easy to Clean and Care For Wool retains its color and shape beautifully if cared for properly. For the love of all things holy do not heat wash or dry wool. The fibers will shrink and stick together and you’ll have a tiny sweater left.

They are warm but never hot, featherlight but substantial feeling, and unlike Birkenstocks, you can wear them with socks.

How to clean and care for your Glerups
- Wool has the natural ability to clean itself and it is highly odour resistant.
- To remove stains we suggest that you gently clean on the stain with at light wet cloth and wool soap.
- Vacuum your Glerups clean of dust.
Can Glerups get wet?
Please be careful – natural rubber or leather soles may be slippery on wet and icy surfaces such as tile. All our uppers are produced in 100% pure and natural wool and therefore you may experience colour difference from batch to batch.
Are Glerups made in Denmark?
Today, Glerups are felted with 95% New Zealand wool and 5% Gotland wool, with pure calf skin soles for ultimate warmth and comfort. The shoes are designed in Denmark and made in Romania in a Danish-run factory.
