Absolutely beautiful, clear, clean water, turtles, small colourful fish. Not at all crowded, some parts of the beaches you can only get to by boat. The travel to Tangkaan was a bit of an expedition but well worth the effort. From mcDonalds in downtown Tacloban, we took a small jeepney to the Tacloban New Bus Terminal.

This is an excellent public beach in Padre Burgos, Southern Leyte Philippines with unique rock formations and heavenly white sand. It costs less than $1 to enter the place, you can bring your own food and have a picnic in any one of the stone tables. The view is scenic all around even though it gets very crowded in the summer.
