The Vertuo Line uses its patented Centrifusion™ to brew the coffee. This method spins the capsule, utilizing centrifugal force to brew. You still get a crema, but some people do not find this method makes as authentic an espresso as the high-pressure extraction.

Does Nespresso original line work in Vertuo?
Original line capsules do not have any barcodes. The Vertuoline won’t brew any pod without a barcode. Nespresso Vertuo and Original machines use different types of capsules that are not interchangeable. So unfortunately, you cannot use Nespresso Original pods in Vertuo machines.

Why is my Nespresso Vertuo machine not making a full cup?
Check that the water tank is filled. Check that a fresh capsule is inserted in correct position, that the handle is properly locked and push the button to start. Open the machine head and let the capsule be ejected. Then perform a cleaning as per cleaning section.
