Can I use REM oil on my AR-15?
Rem Oil is alright. It gets the job done, but it’s too thin for: Any serious firing (say AR-15)
Can you use REM oil to clean gun?
Rem Oil is as good as it gets for maintaining firearms. I use it for a final bore clean/lubrication after applying Hoppe’s #9 to due the dirty work. Thin film is better than excess generally. Also used for lubrication of parts, slides/rails, etc.

It’s a dry lube, so it will not gum up, or attract dirt and sand. It’s great for all the moving parts of a firearm. I also use it for all those little jobs around the house. Rem oil is a must have for gun lube.
