Swimming is not recommended at Turtle Beach, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a must-see spot! The big draw here is the turtles themselves, and you can spot them in several places along the rocky shore during a visit. The creatures swim, sun themselves, and make delicate nests here, so be sure to only look, not touch.
When can you see turtles on Turtle Beach Florida?
Sea turtle nesting season occurs from May 1st to October 31st each year, when hundreds of turtles make their way to the area. You have a good chance of spotting sea turtles during these six months, but if you want to see the hatchlings head back to the water, you’ll want to visit toward the end of nesting season.
Can you walk to Siesta Key beach from Turtle Beach?
Turtle Beach is ~3 miles south from Crescent Beach and is not accessible by walking or biking along the beach (some mention the point of rocks wall, but you do not want to cross over that, there for a reason). You can bike or walk along Midnight Pass Road and you’ll see Turtle Beach on your right.
