Is Vibram FiveFingers good?
Vibram Five Finger shoes are commonly praised by people for improving their running style. It encourages a midfoot strike rather than a heel-to-toe strike which you tend to get from normal running shoes, and the benefit of this can be less strain on the hips and lower back.
Do Vibrams fix bunions?
Wearing these shoes MAY alleviate pain, but they will not correct the deformity. I think these shoes would have the greatest impact on mild bunions. If you are requiring a “base wedge” osteotomy to correct your bunion, nothing conservative (not an orthotic, not vibrams, nor walking barefoot) will correct it.

The Fivefingers and Furoshiki (this does not include Furoshiki boots, they have to be dry cleaned) can be machine washed on a cool setting 30 degrees or less on a delicates wash it is best not to use harsh detergents and eco wash powder would be fine but do not use fabric conditioner.

If you have an extremely flat foot, you will need to work into wearing your Vibram FiveFingers gradually, as your muscles will need time to adapt and strengthen. Our footwear is designed to be worn directly against the sole of your foot. Putting something between the two would defeat their purpose.

How do I wash my vibrams?
The suggested way is to use a washing machine since the Vibram Five Fingers are machine washable. Use gentle and warm water (30c) cycle with some liquid or powdered detergent and afterwards, hang them to dry. Important: we don’t recommend that you put your Five Fingers in the dryer.
