What are BIGZ dies?
What are Bigz dies? Bigz dies are steel-rule dies from Sizzix. They have sharp, steel, blades housed inside black foam and plastic (see below) and are meant to cut thicker materials than wafer-thin dies (Sizzix brand wafer-thin dies are called Thinlits®).
What dies work with original sizzix?
Each medium Originals die is compatible with both the original Sizzix Machine (with one Cutting Pad) and the SophistiCut, BIGkick, Big Shot and Vagabond machines (with two Cutting Pads). All items sold separately.
What is the difference between Framelits and Thinlits?
Thinlits are used to cut out an element to add to a card that is a stand alone – no coordinating stamp set needed. Framelits are used for easy cutting out a shape that frames a stamped image or creating a window.
Can I use Thinlits on a big shot?
About Thinlits Thinlits are compatible with our full range of Sizzix Big Shot machines.
What is the difference between cuttlebug and sizzix?
The Sizzix Big Shot, unlike the Cuttlebug, does not fold up. The crank handle is longer, making it stick out further. It also has a longer working surface compared to the Cuttlebug. Not only does the larger working surface make it easier to lay down the dies and folders, but the base is more stable.
What materials can Thinlits cut?
Both Thinlits and Framelits cut cardstock, paper, vellum, and metallic foil. Basic, less intricate shapes can also cut fun foam, felt, thin sheets of cork and other, thinner more pliable materials.
Are Sizzix dies compatible with Spellbinders?
The Sizzix® Adapter does allow the cutting of Spellbinders™ dies with the Sidekick™ & Tag-a-Long™, but this is limited to most Spellbinders™ Fonts or Mystery Dies, due to the limiting size of the Sizzix® Adapter. The Sidekick™ & Tag-a-Long™ do not allow for the embossing of Spellbinders™ dies.
