Is Tresillian controlled crying?

At Tresillian we don’t use controlled crying or recommend it. First, make sure baby has a dry nappy and has been fed. Then try holding your baby in your arms until she falls asleep or becomes drowsy. Use gentle rhythmic patting, rocking and soft singing before putting baby into the cot.

Why Tresillian? Tresillian is a not-for-profit early parenting service offering families guidance in the early years of their child’s life. We support new parents around breastfeeding and settling baby, as well as dealing with post-natal depression and nutrition.

If some siblings have more wherewithal than others, some can pay more and some can provide more care. This can be negotiated among the siblings, but no one should shirk the obligation to help in some way. A family heart-to-heart talk is called for—among the siblings first, then with Mom and Dad.
