What is Beatgridding?
A Beatgrid is a series of markers that point to the location of beats within the track. Beatgrids are used for advanced mixing functions such as track Sync, precise effects synchronization, looping and accurate BPM representation.
How do you edit the beat grid on Traktor?
Do this by going to TRAKTOR Preferences > Decks Layout and setting the Deck Size to Advanced. Now return to the Deck and click on the GRID tab to switch to the Beatgrid Panel. What’s the best latency setting for Traktor?
We recommend using one of the following values: 128, 256, 512, or 1024. Lower values may be chosen on purpose-built computers for audio production. To reduce latency while recording, we recommend using a lower buffer size of 128.
Why is Traktor lagging?
Seems to be an issue with the Intel TurboBoost technology, and causing some sort of lag in the CPU which translates to nasty sounds when using Traktor. The fix seems to be to go into the BIOS, and disable the TurboBoost under CPU power management.

How do you sync BPM in Traktor?

How do I add a grid marker in Traktor?
If TRAKTOR is struggling to read the correct transients to add a grid marker, find a point where the grid correctly hits a beat and add a temporary marker to lay a steady grid. After that, you can create the grid marker you want, then delete the temporary one.
How do you use the metronome in Traktor?
The process will add a beat marker on the first beat TRAKTOR finds, laying out the beatgrid for the track. Once the analysis is done, make sure you’ve got the advanced panel showing on the deck, and switch to the GRID tab to turn on the metronome.
How does Traktor analyze my music?
During the music analysis, TRAKTOR attempts to learn how your tracks are structured. Tempo is based on the shape of the waveform, with the sharp peaks (known as transients) understood as your rhythm sounds. TRAKTOR then works out where the first beat is, counts based on a 4/4 time signature, and adds a grid marker to the track.
