What is Tubifast used for?
Tubifast® 2-Way Stretch® tubular bandages are designed for dressing retention, patch wrapping (wet or dry) and as an undercast stockinette. Tubifast can also be used for skin covering for any part of the body and in the management of Epidermolysis Bullosa 1 .
What Tubifast green?

What is tubular bandage?
Tubular bandages are used to hold dressings on fingers or toes, or support injured joints. They’re made of seamless fabric tube. You can get elasticated ones to place over joints such as the ankle. Ones made of tubular gauze can be placed over fingers or toes, but do not provide any pressure to stop bleeding.
Can I wash Tubifast?
We recommend Tubifast, as it is lightweight cotton and easy to use. It can be reused; you just have machine wash the Tubifast between uses in a laundry bag. Wet wraps are best tolerated at night.
How do you use Tubifast garments?
When wet wrapping, apply Epaderm Ointment to the skin, followed by two layers of Tubifast Garments. The first layer of Tubifast Garments, next to the skin, should be damp and the second layer should be dry. For best results, wet wrap in the bathroom where it’s warm and steamy.
How do you wet wrap a Tubifast?
What you do
- Put one length of Tubifast for each limb/trunk in bowl of water with bath oil. Wet thoroughly.
- Squeeze gently; the Tubifast should still be wet.
- Apply one wet layer of Tubifast to each limb/trunk.
- Apply on dry layer of Tubifast to each limb/trunk.
What is crepe bandage?
Crepe bandages, commonly made of cotton, are a woven, elasticated bandage. Crepe bandages are ideal to support the healing of sprains and strains, as they provide good compression to injured areas, as per the PRICE method, but as they’re elastic they don’t prevent joints or muscles from flexing.
