On the back of all indoor transmitters (except the I-50) is a small switch marked 4 KHz and 8 KHz. This switch sets your transmitter to the correct broadcast frequency. Your dealer will set this switch for your system. The I-50 comes pre-set to either 4 or 8 KHz.
What frequency do dog shock collars use?
Shock collars and transmitters operate on four bands – 26.995, 27.045, 27.095, 27.145, or 27.195 MHz. If you change from one of those bands to another you should be fine. Of course, to be super safe you should consult a professional who understands the FCC regulations that control these devices.
