Where are STABILO pens manufactured? Most of the ink-based pens are made in Weißenburg, Germany (www.weissenburg.de).
Which is better Staedtler or Derwent?
The Staedtlers seem to run a couple of grades darker than Derwent. My Staedtler H pencil looks at least as dark as my Derwent HB. The difference in darkness from one grade to the next seems more linear in the Staedtlers. 2B is just a notch darker than B, and so on, very evenly.
Are STABILO markers good?
They are very bright, true to the color that is seen on their caps. I really like the pencil-esque design, it makes them comfortable to hold (which is important to me because I use them for taking lecture notes in school). The have a nice fine tip, the pens are also very thin (which I like).
How long do STABILO pens last?

Are STABILO pens good?
At only $ 0.80, I absolutely must recommend the Stabilo Point 88 Fineliner to you. It’s very easy to use, comfy to write with, and is available in so many great colours that you’d be crazy not to buy them all. Seriously.
Which is better Derwent or Faber-Castell?
Where the Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer is gummy, the Derwent watercolour pencil is chalky. The former reminds me of an oil pastel and the latter, a soft pastel, if that makes sense. I prefer the Derwent because it glides on more smoothly and colours like a dream. It really does work something like pastel pencil.
Is STABILO pen waterproof?
The inks are not waterproof but neither are the LePens. The Stabilo pens are designed to allow for a long cap-off time without drying out.
Do STABILO pens bleed?
The ink is water-based so one would expect it to bleed like crazy in the water resistance test but I have found that non-waterproof marker pens bleed less than gel pens. This particular ink bled little but the lines smeared together. The lines remained visible though.
